Invitation

The Designing Cellulose for the Future II is the second design and materials research oriented seminar exploring the future applications of cellulose – the renewable Finnish natural resource. Come and discover a diverse range of new cellulose-based materials and new technologies. Explore ideas for circular economy business models and novel applications for textiles, building, 3D printing and many more. Network with the exhibitors and speakers: designers, material researchers and businesses involving the current cellulose field.

Organized by DWoC project in collaboration with CLIC Innovation Ltd.

DWoC (Design Driven Value Chains in the World of Cellulose) is a multidisciplinary research collaboration project funded by Tekes (the Finnish Funding Agency for Inno- vation) focused on finding new and innova- tive applications for cellulosic materials. The partners in the project are: the Technical Research Centre of Finland VTT, Aalto Uni- versity, Tampere University of Technology and the University of Vaasa.

CLIC Innovation is an open innovation cluster with the mission of creating break- through solutions in bioeconomy, energy and cleantech. CLIC Innovation coordi- nates R&D&I project portfolios to construct systemic solutions which are beyond the resources of individual operators. The clus- ter is a cross-organizational fast-moving network. The shareholders of the nonprofit CLIC Innovation Ltd include 30 companies and 17 universities and research institutions.
